art basel

art basel is one of the reasons i fell in love with miami before i was lucky enough to move here. i worked for a museum in washington, dc and was fortunate enough to come down here for a few days of the five day extravaganza. free concerts. free art. amazing parties. the best and the brightest artists. cultural intellectuals all around. art basel is pretty magical. i should have done this for the miami book fair (but i didn’t know that it would be the best thing that ever happened to me. just wait for next year. my list will be magnificent), but, i have been asked by many ‘what are you doing for art basel?’ well, here is what i have come up with so far (subject to change, naturally). these are just the events that i am planning on going to (if you have further suggestions, please email them to me at miamifavs@gmail.com - i love getting emails and appreciate feedback!). i hope you’ll join me. my festivities begin tomorrow and don’t end until sunday. get ready for an fantastic basel-filled week miamians!
