miami fav #104 / improv

i love me some funny people. and just so you know how serious i am, i will share that my current girl crush is the miami comedian jessica gross. so, there. but, really. who doesn’t love someone that can make you laugh? so when a friend asked me if i wanted to go with a group of people to see improv, i said ‘hell, yes!’ and then said wait. where is it? because i figured it must be in fort lauderdale and it had been too long of a day to drive from the beach to the ftl. to my surprise (!) i found out it was in coconut grove. huh? really? how did i miss that? well, for one, because it’s basically hidden (totally missing a branding/marketing opportunity, people). but, then i figured maybe that’s because they needed to keep people out. and that turned out to be a #truth. the place was packed. and having it located in coconut grove is perfect. because we got to go to another miami fav, lulu’s, beforehand. lovely. and we also sat on some artistic peacocks and took pictures. i’m not sure if that is allowed. but we did it anyway. i mean, if they’re big enough to sit on and take pictures with, then i’m probably going to make it happen. we did a little shopping too. basically, coconut grove has everything you need to keep a girl amused and happy for a few hours. and the improv was great (we got to see loni love. amazing). friends, drinks, laughter and dirty jokes = perfection. good work, improv. and thanks, funny people. i heart you.
