miami favs #101 / jaxson’s

um. love this place. the sundaes are the size of my face. and it is kind of magical. you feel like you’ve been transported to a different era. kind of like all of a sudden you are a carnie. in the 1950’s. there are weird rides. there is a piano that plays itself in the back room. there is candy galore. a man making balloon animals. and flashing lights. if only there were real live elephants… and a tightrope. but i digress. jaxon’s really is amazing. the ice cream is delicious. and it’s such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. it’s kind of random that you feel like you’re sitting in a parking lot. but, alas. you pretty much are. and although it is random, it also just feels right. after we devoured our sundae and basically licked our spoons until it was ridiculous to keep licking them because we were just ruining the after-taste of the ice cream with the taste of plastic, we went inside to the candy store. why aren’t there more candy stores in the world? i think people would be much happier if there were. especially if said candy stores carried candy grillz. the most ridiculously fantastic invention since the mcrib (or so i’ve been told). i still have mine. and i will not lie. sometimes i just put it in and walk around the house with it. it makes me laugh. and it makes for some fun photo ops. especially in front of the family dollar store next door. where are we? miami, i love you.
